The cult classic is back! Craig McLachlan does the Time Warp again and reprises his role as the strange and wonderful Dr. Frank N Furter!

Producers Howard Panter, John Frost and Torben Brookman announce that the world’s favourite rock and roll musical would return to Australia in a fresh new production next year, with Helpmann Award winner, Craig McLachlan leading the cast in the legendary fishnets.

Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show will re-open the refurbished Festival Theatre at the Adelaide Festival Centre from 28 December 2017, then play at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), Brisbane from 18 January 2018, and the Crown Theatre, Perth from 17 February 2018.

The Morning Bulletin said, “Craig McLachlan is absolutely fabulous. He’s cheeky and owns the stage whenever he’s on it. His voice is powerful and he oozes sex and charm”, while the Herald Sun said, “McLachlan is audacious and ostentatiously camp.”

“Craig McLachlan is absolutely fabulous.” “To say we are thrilled to dance the Time Warp across Australia again is an understatement,” said Howard Panter on behalf of the producers.

“We’re often asked when everyone’s favourite rock and roll musical is returning, so it’s wonderful that the planets have aligned to bring Craig back to his award-winning role. This is sure to be an even wilder, funnier and sexier night out than ever before!”

The Rocky Horror Show is a timeless piece of art and one of musical theatre’s most emotionally intense, hilarious and outrageously feel – good. Vast amounts of people the world over have experienced this fan favourite and will continue to see productions of The Rocky Horror Show and dress – up or down, with incredible audience partici… PATION and of course sing & dance along to cult numbers like Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet, I Can Make You A Man, Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me, Over At The Frankenstein Place and of course, The Time Warp.

So as the Doctor says ‘give yourself over to absolute pleasure’ and let Australia do ‘the Time Warp again.’
