The Fame Reporter interviewed the incredible viral TikTok Comedic Magician, Ash Magic. Ash is currently starring in the world’s first interactive magic spectacular Metaverse of Magic, playing at QPAC’s Concert Hall from 4 January.

We sat down with Tiktok sensation Ash Magic and talked about his love for magic, his role in the show – Metaverse of Magic, what inspires him to make magic for the next generation and more.
Welcome to The Fame Reporter, Ash! What sparked your interest in magic initially?
I saw a magician on the street when I was 11, he blew my mind, and I immediately went home and searched the web for every magic trick tutorial I could find so I give people the same feeling he gave me.
What inspired you to take your magic online for a new generation and what do you think audiences love about your videos that contributes to your online success?
I started posting on TikTok during my free periods in high school when I probably should’ve been studying. But then in the last two weeks of HSC all my videos blew up and I reached one million followers in those two weeks.
I love sharing magic that can be done with everyday objects, so anybody anywhere who watches my videos can reach into their junk drawer and pull out some random knick-knacks and create something magical for their friends and family.
I feel people love my videos because they are accessible and relatable. There’s no mysterious old, bearded man with a top hat and giant props, it’s literally just me in my bedroom with a deck of cards.
What attracted you to the Metaverse of Magic and what does the show entail?
I was always over the moon when I got to see magic shows as a young boy. Especially shows with multiple magicians.
So, to be on stage with an incredible team, telling an awesome story and sharing some never-before-seen magic makes my heart so full.
I know my younger self would be so bloody proud and would be that kid in the front row screaming with excitement at every trick!
What three performers dead or alive would you love to have a dinner party with?
David Blaine, Harry Houdini, Zach Mueller.
What makes the Metaverse of Magic unique to other magic shows?
Best of the best. The top magicians from across the globe. Never before seen magic. Cutting edge technology integration.
